Tips and suggestions
  • Grab Grignotte the Marmot's explorer guide and take part in the Grignotte Quiz by answering questions on each panel along the trail.
  • Check the weather forecast before you set off (mountain weather can change quickly).
  • Wear the right footwear—flip-flops are for the beach, and we’d prefer not to see your toes!
  • Don’t forget sun protection—bring sunglasses, sun cream, and a cap.

Prices and access

  • The trail from Gallinera is accessible free of charge to all hikers.
  • From the Airelles car park, you can access the site by taking the Airelles chairlift, which requires a return lift pass.
  • For the more adventurous, a one-way ski pass allows you to take the Airelles chairlift up and then walk back down.
  • From Font-Romeu town centre, access the site by taking the Airelles Express gondola lift followed by the Airelles chairlift, which requires a return package for both lifts.
