Watching marmots from our wooden observatories, where they evolve in their natural habitat.

The routes
From the Gallinera, the trail is accessible free of charge to all hikers.
From the Airelles car park, you can access the site by taking the Airelles chairlift =1 return lift pass .
For the more sporty, the one-way ski pass allows you to take the Airelles chairlift up and then walk back down.
From Font-Romeu town centre, access the site by taking the Airelles Express gondola lift, then the Airelles chairlift =2 lifts return package .
From Pyrénées 2000, take the Le Belvédère chairlift to the site, then go down the signposted frosted trail no. 1 and then take the Les Airelles chairlift to the Grignotte La Marmotte educational trail. For the return journey, from Le Gallinera, take the signposted icy trail no. 1 down to Col del Pam and then the Le Belvédère chairlift to Pyrénées 2000.

Airelles chairlift 9.15am - 4pm
Belvédère chairlift 10.00am - 5.00pm
All services close from 13:15 to 13:45, except for the Airelles chairlift which closes from 11:15 to 11:45. For your safety, in the event of bad weather, closing times may be brought forward.
Our local staff will let you know the time of the last return of the lifts.

Advice and suggestions
- With your Grignotte the marmot explorer's guide, take part in the Grignotte Quiz, by answering the questions on each panel along the way.
- Check the weather forecast before setting off (the weather changes quickly in the mountains).
- Wear the right shoes - flip-flops are for the beach, we don't want to see your toes!
- Take sun protection equipment (sunglasses/sun cream/cap).
