Hot water canyoning
From 8 years old
Hot-water canyoning near Font-Romeu is the only canyon in Europe to be practised in hot-water cascades. A must-do activity in the Pyrénées-Orientales (66). The temperature of the canyon is over 40° at the start (40/45). Suitable for families aged 8 and over.
The hot water descent includes 3 beautiful abseiling descents, the last of which is 32 metres long: totally inclined and rather impressive!
Between each abseil, you can enjoy the wilderness and savour the sulphur water. It's an ideal canyon to start with!
Descending a mountain stream is like plunging into the heart of the elements: unforgettable sensations!
Equipped with a neoprene wetsuit, harness and helmet, you can jump and swim in natural pools and slide down natural water slides...
For the rest, your instructor will guide you and adapt the situations to your level.

Canyon Molitg-Les-Bains

Canyoning at Molitg-les-Bains is located 1h15 from Font-Romeu. Ideal for beginners, this canyon will delight novices thanks to its ease, while delighting the more experienced thanks to the beauty of its landscapes.
You'll discover all aspects of canyoning (jumps, abseils, slides and swimming) in a reassuring setting and in water of a pleasant temperature.
No special skills are required, apart from the ability to swim.
Slide down one slide after another, try your hand at abseiling and enjoy the thrills of jumps from 1 to 6 metres (all jumps are optional).

After a magnificent 45-minute approach walk in the wild valley of Porté-Puymorens, you'll discover all the joys of this canyon suitable for beginners.
A dozen jumps ranging from 1 to 10 metres, two 12-metre abseils and natural slides will take you down this highly entertaining canyon in a magnificent mountain setting.
Your instructor will suggest various options for overcoming each waterfall to suit your level.
The activity takes place over one day (10am-5pm).
